Two New Adventures Are Here! 📚✨
I’m so excited to finally share that I have two new children’s books available now: Monsterberry School Day and The Pony and the Wishing Bridge!
These two stories are very different from one another, but they both have something in common with all of my books—they were inspired by my daughter in one way or another and grew from ideas that became very special to me.
🎒 Monsterberry School Day
The Monsterberry kids are back!
When I first wrote Monster Market Day, I originally planned for it to be a standalone story. But my family and I became so attached to the characters that I couldn’t help wondering what Gus, Otis, Ellie, Eddie, and Skye might get up to next.
That question eventually led them straight to Monsterberry Elementary School.
In Monsterberry School Day, the Monsterberry kids head off for a school day filled with different classes, new experiences, familiar childhood challenges, and plenty of monster-sized personality along the way.
I loved getting the chance to revisit these characters and expand their world beyond the market. Readers who met them in Monster Market Day will recognize their personalities, but this adventure can also be enjoyed on its own.
If your little reader enjoys silly monsters, school-day adventures, and stories filled with friendship and heart, I hope they’ll have fun spending the day at Monsterberry Elementary!
🐴 The Pony and the Wishing Bridge
My second new release, The Pony and the Wishing Bridge, takes readers somewhere completely different.
Meet Rusty, a little pony who wants to cross a mysterious covered bridge—but getting to the other side means facing all the things that make him nervous along the way.
The story was inspired by a mix of family stories and the things my daughter loves most. A family story gave me the first spark for the idea, while my daughter’s love of ponies and unicorns helped bring the magical side of the story to life. She even chose Rusty’s name.
At its heart, The Pony and the Wishing Bridge is a story about bravery—and the idea that being brave doesn’t mean you aren’t afraid. Sometimes bravery is simply taking the next step even when you are.
The book also includes five coloring pages, giving young readers a little extra way to enjoy Rusty’s adventure after the story ends.
💜 Two Very Different Stories, One Very Happy Author
Seeing a new book finally become something families can hold and read together never stops being exciting, and having two new releases to share makes this especially meaningful.
