Exciting News! I've Been Featured in AVILLA Magazine!
I'm so excited to share some wonderful news! I recently had the opportunity to be featured in AVILLA Magazine, where I got to talk about my journey as an author, the inspiration behind my books, and what storytelling means to me.
Being interviewed about something I'm so passionate about was such a special experience, and I'm thrilled to finally share it with all of you!
A Little About My Writing Journey
I've wanted to be a writer for as long as I can remember. There's something magical about creating characters, building worlds, and turning little sparks of imagination into stories that others can enjoy.
When I became a mother, that love of storytelling took on an entirely new meaning.
My daughter, Paige, has been the inspiration behind all of my children's books. Whether we're playing imaginative games, sharing silly family moments, or simply talking about the things she loves, inspiration often comes from the most unexpected places.
What starts as a little idea between us can eventually grow into an entire book, complete with characters, adventures, and lessons that I hope will stay with young readers long after they've turned the final page.
Sharing the Stories Behind the Stories
One of my favorite parts of the interview was having the chance to reflect on what inspires my writing.
Every one of my books has its own story behind its creation. Some were born from imaginative games with my daughter, others from family memories, and a few from those wonderfully unexpected moments when an idea simply refuses to go away.
My family is also an important part of my creative process. I love sharing my stories with my daughter and my mother, listening to their thoughts, and seeing how they respond to the characters and adventures I've created.
While I love filling my children's books with whimsy, humor, and imagination, I also hope each story leaves readers with something meaningful. Whether it's kindness, courage, friendship, or understanding, I believe even the simplest stories can make a lasting impression.
